Fear.

What I'm doing now
Is detaching myself from the experience
detaching myself from fear
trying to have courage for everything.

Buddhists say, don't cling to things,
because everything is impermanent.
We should let the past experience penetrate us fully
that's how we will be able to leave it.
We can never learn how to detach if,
we are too busy being afraid.
Afraid of the pain,
afraid of the grief,
afraid of the vulnerability.
Instead, we should throw ourselves into these emotions
allow ourselves to dive in and experience them completely.
In this way, we know what pain is,
we know what grief is.
When the emotions strike you,
then you can say : Alright, I recognize that emotion, now i need to detach myself from that for a moment.
Tell yourself to step away from it.
We don't have to let it control us.

We can't let fear cover us.

So many people walk around with a meaningless life
They seem half asleep,
even when they're busy doing things they think are important.
This is because they're chasing the wrong things.
Chasing for wealth, fame or lost in vengeance.
The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others,
devote yourself to your community around you,
and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.

Finding the goal of your life is really important.
If not, you'll be lost.
I'm glad I found my goal.
Make your life meaningful but not lock yourself in pain or grief.
Believe that you can be better even if you are now falling.

Sometimes you cannot believe what you see,
you have to believe what you feel.
And if you are ever going to have other people trust you,
you must feel that you can trust them too..
even when you're in the dark. Even when you're falling.

That's what I'm learning, to trust others.
I turned off my room's dimmer for the very first night.
trying to trust the darkness.
Trying to have the courage to trust others.
Trying to overcome my fear.

- Inspired by Morrie, who taught me about detachment.
