My third Bangkok Trip [30th July -2nd August 2017]

Bangkok has been my favourite country because of the foods and shopping heaven haha
It's my third time there and never feel enough of it !
This time, only with my parents and sister
and i'm the main planner, got to do all the researches and plan our trip
My first time in-charging of my family trip plan  o_o
we didn't manage to visit those famous temples because it's quite far from the town and we have only 4 days 3 nights
Floating market is out from my plan because its only open during weekend

Day 1
Flight was supposed to be at 8:20am but delayed to 10am and we did not receive any notification from Air Asia
Reached the airport about 6am and waited in McD
2 hours flight.

I love the window seat all the time because I'm mesmerized by the view of our planet from the sky

After arrival, I bought a SIM card with 2.5GB 4G data + 30 baht calls which cost 299 baht
I bought it from the first shop I saw after the arrival gate and there's a lot of people.
they promoted me the packages and just took my phone and passport and money after I agree to it.
Don't really like the service because I can't see what they are doing with my phone and passport. Would prefer to go further down, there's some official shop of the carrier and less crowded.
We took taxi from the departure hall because according to some info the taxi there will charge according to meter instead of those at arrival hall. Cost about 200 baht to reach our hotel in Pratunam - Baiyoke Sky Tower Hotel (the tallest tower in Bangkok)
After settling down, we took BTS from Phaya Thai station to Mo Chit. Its the nearest BTS to the weekend Chatuchak market, just followed the crowd and walk to there.
Attached the map of trains in Bangkok here !

Chatuchak Weekend market opens until 6pm, it only opens on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
We reached there about 2pm and its impossible for us to shop the whole market
the market is incredibly big and crowded
There's a lot of things you can find there but the clothes are almost the same
Lots of foods and we just don't know what to choose
the weather is very hot and we were bathing with sweats under the sun HAHAHA
better be prepared when you go there because its hard to find a nice place to sit unless you are eating in the food stalls.
It will be very tiring, I almost can't feel my legssss

After chatuchak market closed, we went on to JJ Green Night market which is right beside the chatuchak weekend market. Turn left after coming out from the entrance and go all the way straight. As usual, follow the crowds HAHA
We were so tired that we desperately need to sit down and have Chang beer (so far the best beer I ever had)
Walked to the inside of JJ Green and found a nice rooftop restaurant to rest

I like JJ Green night market. It's bigger than I thought but not as big as Chatuchak weekend market. Lots of clothes and accessories there, and also nice foods !
The grill squid and grilled pork I had were really tasty, a lot better than those I ate in Krabi last year. Juicy and spicy with the sauce :D

Went back to hotel after the long day by taxi because our legs gave up
my dad said he rather pay more instead of taking the trains xD
Drank beer and ate cup noodles at night
I really love Thai cup noodles a lot !

Day 2
After some nice sleep, we gained our energy back to continue our shopping
walked to Central World from our hotel for about 20 minutes? not really sure
It was a very hot day again. But we went to air-conditioned malls that day

My Red Apple waterproof sandal bought from Chatuchak
One pair for only 150 baht, light and comfortable :)

First thing we do when we reached Central World was to find the food court
because we planned to try all the food courts of the shopping malls we went HAHA
This food court has some really nice foods and the price ranged from 40-70 baht, quite reasonable
Tomyam noodles - superb nice for me !

Pad Thai - the best out of all the food courts we tried, nice !

Braised pork rice - normal only, but the egg is perfect (half boiled in the middle) !

Cha Tra Mue Thai Milk Tea (40 baht) - must drink in Bangkok ! never know its so good until I had the first sip. I even bought the 3in1 instant packet of this milk tea xD
Its a little bit sweet at first but gets better when the ice melts

Went to Siam Paragon, next to Central World. They are connected with the skywalk bridge, it is very convenient.
This place is very luxury and big. It has Siam Paragon, Siam Centre, Siam Square and Siam Discovery
Its too big and we just decided to go to the food court in Siam Paragon
Siam Paragon has an incredibly large amount of restaurants inside the food halls and very crowded as well. I wonder what were the people doing there during a weekday
All of them looks nice. The cafe named After You has a really long queue and we were too lazy for it.
The foods in the food court are expensive compared to Central World, almost the same as KL high class food court
Ate duck noodles and chicken rice but it's average only.

Naraya is listed as my must go store !
Added new stuff to my classic blue series, too bad they are not producing that design anymore :(
The naraya in Siam Paragon is very very nice and big. I just love the interior designs of it

Boots pharmacy is also in one of my must go list !
because Boots products can't be found in Malaysia
I like their facial care products and body lotions and also the lip balm :)

Stores in Central World and Siam Paragon are mostly branded stores
the price is almost same as Malaysia, it might be even more expensive when converted to Ringgit Malaysia (because of the currency)
Then, we went to the famous four faced buddha -  Erawan Shrine
Go to the skywalk and walk straight towards the direction of Central World until you see it at the road side after passing by Central World.
At night, we took taxi to Chinatown for the pepper pork soup
because its Monday, most of the roadside stalls were not open
Chinatown really has Chinese feel with all the chinese words

This is the famous pepper pork soup, Kuey Chap
it taste very hot but delicious
contains pork internal organs and the rolled rice noodles
The shop is very small and has limited seats

Front view of the shop just in case I forgot how it looks like xD

Chinatown has a lot of shops selling bird nest.
We chose one right next to the famous T&K seafood stall to rest and have some of it
250 baht per bowl

Finish eating, we took taxi to go to the Big C near Central World
Big C is a supermarket like Tesco
No need to say, we went there to buy snacks ! a lot of them !
Bento grilled squid, instant noodles, seaweed, Meiji yoghurt, Thailand yakult... and more
wanted to buy more but our luggage space is limited :/

Drink this yakult everyday because I can't bring it back to Malaysia

Day 3
Woke early to have the breakfast buffet at 77th floor in our hotel
favourite scrambled egg and grilled bacon
During the first time we came to Bangkok and had this buffet, it was very nice with lots of foods and even free flow of Meiji yoghurt !
But now no more pure juice, not as good as last time.

view of Bangkok city from the tallest tower

random selfie beside the not-very-nice swimming pool and scorching sun

On the third day we went to Platinum mall and Terminal 21
Platinum mall is quite near to our hotel, it is a wholesale shopping mall
Of course, we tried the food court as well HAHAHA
Normal, priced about the same as Central World
You can find a lot of clothes here and its quite easy to walk with the simple structure
Next, we walked to Chit Lom BTS station via the skywalk bridge, passed through Gaysorn Village (some sort of mall) and took the train to Asok station, and reached Terminal 21.
Terminal 21 has mostly branded stores as well. But it has different theme every floor which makes it special and worthy to take a lot of photos.
One thing I like the most of this mall is the FOOD COURT !
the foods are really really cheap and consider nice, with nice decoration and clean environment
Too bad we were not hungry and couldn't try many foods
Was craving for the thai milk tea again and we found the store in Terminal 21 !
which is selling the milk tea ice cream as well :D
the ice cream costs 45 baht each, I love it !

A photo taken in Gaysorn Village while we were walking back to our hotel

Back to Pratunam where our hotel located and had our dinner in an air-conditioned restaurant.
Then, went for a thai foot massage after a long shopping day. HAHA
Its my first time experiencing it and it's really comfortable, but i prefer more strength ._.

Day 4
Last day in Bangkok, but our flight is 8pm
Just realized I went to Baiyoke Sky Tower every time when I visit Bangkok
Left-2017, right-2012
not much changes? HAHA

After checking out from the hotel, we went for shopping at Pratunam Market
This place is very big and crowded. There are many many many varieties of clothes and all of them have wholesale price. The price here was the cheapest among all the shopping places i've went. Kinda regret not going Pratunam market at first before going other places. They sell a lot of jeans here. But it's not comfortable to walk in Pratunam market because its super crowded at certain places, the walkway is very small, people squeezing each other sometimes. And its very hot. There are also some infamous shopping malls in Pratunam, we go in there whenever we need some cold air.

Went to the airport early and have our dinner before boarding. There is a food court but the price is quite high which is normal for all airports. I ordered tomyam soup with fish + rice with omelette as usual, my favourite :D
Its so nice I almost finish the soup but it's too spicy so I can't
Bought ChaTraMue in the airport again to get rid of the spiciness HAHAHA

Night view of Bangkok city from the airplane :]
Bye Bangkok

Should have taken more photos
but i'm tired of walking most of the time and my foods can't wait
